Sounds familiar?

  • Just sometimes, getting from A to B might need a detour via F...
  • New facilities from street lighting to big builds seem to be all diggers and disruption.
  • When will that greenish space look a little more loved?
  • What's being done to attract more big name stores, and look after Colchester's little gems?

Who are 'we'?

People today expect more from their urban centres: space, safe streets, interesting spaces, efficient traffic systems which together improve the quality of life.

Major change is no longer just down to 'the Council' or 'the Police'. Councils work with a huge range of agencies and private sector companies to create the kinds of places where people want to invest their time, funds and energies.

Colchester Borough Council and Essex County Council have a role to understand the impact of proposed developments. They work with all these parties to coordinate the work and maximise the benefits for local people.

'We' are a growing collection of organisations who are working to improve and prepare Colchester for the future.

Pleased to meet you.
