Town Centre Traffic
What? Changes to the way traffic moves around the town centre with the aim of reducing congestion and making the town centre roads safer and more attractive for pedestrians and cyclists. This project is linked to the 'Public Realm' Strategy and Improved Public Transport.
When? Work is currently underway to develop suggestions and the public will be asked to comment on initial ideas early in 2010.
Who? The Council has entered into a partnership with Essex County Council and are committed to reducing congestion in the town centre.
