Colchester Town Hall
What? Forming of Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) compliant access into Old Library area of building. Once works are complete, all publically accessed areas within the Town Hall will be 100% DDA compliant.
Stone repairs and refurbishment of external facades and roof. Refurbishment of Moot Hall including restoring hall to period colour scheme, electrical rewiring, architectural lighting and plaster repairs. Works will also include the insulation of the Town Hall roof to current building regulation standards for energy conservation and the rewiring and relighting of the Council Chamber.
When? Old Library area: works are currently on site and due for completion in December 2009. Other works: due to start on site in January 2010.
Who: This project is being funded by Colchester Borough Council.
